Rachael was a very sweet old lady who always had a big
smile for everyone. Her history I never knew. Obviously at some point
she was loved and cared for. How and why she became a sanctuary pig,
I do not know. I never even knew how old she was, except that she was
over 10 years old when she came into CCRC.
Rachael would be one of the first ones to greet me at the gate at feeding
time, and would seek me out if I was wandering around in her yard.
She enjoyed extra attention and would sit for treats. Her body succombed
to cancerous tumors and we had to let her cross the bridge.
I miss her sweet smile. I will always remember you sweet Rachael.
